But that's an easy fix. The only real issue I encountered was the landing gear. It needs to be beefed up. This is my the 6th gasser and is my best flying bird. You can fly it like your taking granny out for a ride or you can go all out and burn holes in the sky. Over all it's nice smooth flying aircraft and very, very stable. It's a really great sport-acrobatic plane. I love this plane so much I own three.

CMP Katana S Version 2 ARF 2c 108~160 4c 120~140 ENGINE POWERED Aerobatic RC Aircraftstar rating 5WL7CPAJune 13, 2010I have 6 flights on the Katana. I have never owned a plane in this class before. I was not looking for a 3D plane and did not expect to perform 3D. I bought it to do simple aerobatics. BUILDING: Rated 4/5. The Katana went together with few hitches. The servo linkages, in my opinion needed upgraded. I purchased heavy duty 4-40 linkages for the elevator, and pull-pull for the rudder. All three elv and rudder servos are in the tail. The plastic covers had to be ground out to accomodate the standard Hitec servos. This occured on aileron also, but had to be done so servo arms could have total freedom. Looks shabby, but functional. The dowells in the tail section are a poor design. I made them work but would consider putting a small brass tube in the fuselage to support the dowell pins. Other than that, building was awesome and everything went together right. I added one pound of weight in the cowling. to get factory balance, and seems to be perfect. IN THE AIR: First right off the bat, on a clear blue sky, the plane will completely disappear. Coming at you is impossible to see roll angle. So I rushed to the hobby shop, got a strip of Day-Glo Orange and taped a two inch strip on the leading edge and made large areas solid Day-glo on the wing tips. That was fixed. Flying the plane is smooth. Very responsive and stays where you put it. I love the way it flies, and give it a 5/5 on performance. I have an older OS 120, and works great. LANDING AND TAKE OFF: Both 5/5 rating. Takes off with little torque problems, I added 3 washers to three corners of the engine mount. Down thrust and right thrust. Flies sraight on take-off. Landing, straight forward landings, add a little power or the nose will drop off, esp if you have it a little nose heavy like me. I would start with a pound of fishing weights (1/2 oz.) for balance and take them out as you see fit. You won't regret flying or buying this palne.
